OralDrills Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OralDrills (the “App”, “OralDrills”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and discloses information when you use the OralDrills mobile application and the website at https://www.oraldrills.com/.

OralDrills is the Google Play developer name and brand name. The App and website are operated by M Vivishnabanu, the Google Play developer-account owner.

OralDrills provides spoken-English practice. Account registration is currently available to learners aged 18 and above.

By creating an account or using OralDrills, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

Registration is available only to users aged 18 or older. To register for an OralDrills account, you must provide:

  • Your full name;

  • Your email address; and

  • Your mobile phone number.

Your full name, email address, and mobile phone number are mandatory for registration. We use your full name to display your name in the App’s greeting and account information. We use your email address and mobile phone number to create and manage your account, identify the registered user, provide account-related support, protect the service against misuse, and communicate essential information about your account or the service.

We do not use your email address or mobile phone number for promotional calls, promotional SMS messages, WhatsApp marketing, or other direct marketing unless you have separately agreed to receive such communications.

1.2 Password and Authentication Information

OralDrills accounts are managed through our WordPress-based account system. Your password is processed and stored by the WordPress system in hashed form. We cannot view your password as readable text, and we do not sell, rent, disclose, or share your password with other parties.

After you sign in, the App and WordPress system may use session or authentication tokens to keep you signed in and authorize access to your account and course content. These tokens are used only for authentication, account access, and service security.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization.

1.3 Learning and Account Activity

When you use the App, we may process information necessary to provide and manage the learning service, including:

  • Your user or account identifier;

  • Courses and lessons available to your account;

  • Course enrolment and access status;

  • Lesson or course progress and completion information;

  • Subscription entitlement and access status; and

  • Account-support requests and related communications.

1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information

Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available only to users aged 18 or older and are purchased and processed through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles your payment method and complete payment credentials. OralDrills does not receive or store your complete card number, bank-account details, UPI credentials, or Google Play payment credentials.

Google Play may provide us with limited purchase information needed to verify and manage access, such as the purchased subscription plan, transaction or order information, purchase token, subscription status, renewal status, and expiry information.

Your purchase and use of Google Play are also governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy.

1.5 Hosting and Request-Log Information

OralDrills does not use Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics, Sentry, or any other diagnostic or analytics SDK. We do not collect crash logs, analytics data, operating-system versions, or error or diagnostic information through the App.

When the App connects to the OralDrills WordPress system or streams lesson audio, our hosting providers may automatically process limited information through ordinary server and request logs. This may include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested URL or audio resource, and standard request headers containing a basic User-Agent identifying the request as coming from OralDrills, Flutter, or Android.

This information is processed by Hostinger or Cloudflare as necessary to receive requests, deliver the requested service, maintain security, and operate their hosting infrastructure. OralDrills does not use this information for advertising, behavioural tracking, analytics, profiling, or the sale of personal data.

1.6 Essential Cookies and Local Storage

The OralDrills website and WordPress-based account system may use cookies or similar storage that are strictly necessary for functions such as signing in, maintaining an authenticated session, securing an account, remembering essential preferences, and completing account-related actions. The App may similarly store authentication tokens and essential settings in its private local storage.

We do not use the essential cookies or local storage described above for advertising or behavioural tracking. If our cookie or tracking practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required by applicable law.

2. Microphone Access and Voice Recordings

OralDrills requests access to your device’s microphone only when you choose the “Record Your Voice” feature. OralDrills does not access or use the microphone in the background. The microphone is accessed only after you select the recording feature and grant microphone permission.

Your voice recordings:

  • Are created only when you deliberately start recording;

  • Are stored locally in the App’s private storage on your device;

  • Are not uploaded to OralDrills, WordPress, Hostinger, Cloudflare R2, Google Play, or any other server;

  • Are not accessible to us;

  • Are not shared with other users or third parties; and

  • Remain on your device until you delete or replace them using the App’s recording controls, or until the App removes them through its local-data deletion process.

Because the recordings never leave your device, a deletion request submitted through the OralDrills website cannot directly remove recordings stored on your phone. You should delete recordings through the App on that device. If account deletion is initiated inside the App on that device, the App also deletes the OralDrills voice recordings stored locally on that device.

You may deny or withdraw microphone permission through your device settings. If you do so, the voice-recording feature will not work, but this will not prevent you from using App features that do not require the microphone.

3. Lesson Audio, Cloudflare R2, and Cloudflare Worker

OralDrills lesson and model-audio files are stored using Cloudflare R2. The App requests and streams lesson audio through our Cloudflare Worker, which delivers the requested files and may cache copies within Cloudflare’s infrastructure to improve delivery and reduce repeated requests to R2.

Cloudflare may process limited technical request information, such as your IP address, request time, and the requested audio resource, to deliver and protect the lesson-audio service.

Cloudflare R2 stores OralDrills lesson audio, and our Cloudflare Worker delivers and caches that lesson audio. Neither service receives the personal voice recordings you create using the “Record Your Voice” feature.

4. WordPress and Hostinger Hosting

The OralDrills website and WordPress-based account system are hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger may store or process account information, learning information, website requests, server logs, and related technical information on our behalf as a hosting service provider.

Lesson audio is separately stored in Cloudflare R2 and delivered through our Cloudflare Worker, which may cache lesson audio within Cloudflare’s infrastructure.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;

  • Provide access to lessons, course content, and subscribed features;

  • Verify monthly or yearly subscription status;

  • Save and display learning progress where applicable;

  • Deliver lesson audio and other App functionality;

  • Provide account and technical support;

  • Send essential service, security, subscription, or account communications;

  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;

  • Operate, maintain, and protect the App, website, and hosting services;

  • Comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and regulatory obligations; and

  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent when required.

6. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may disclose limited information in the following circumstances:

6.1 Service Providers

We use service providers to operate OralDrills, including:

  • Hostinger, for hosting the WordPress website and account system;

  • Cloudflare, for storing lesson audio in Cloudflare R2 and delivering and caching it through our Cloudflare Worker; and

  • Google Play, for subscription billing, purchase verification, and subscription management.

These providers process information according to their respective roles, contractual terms, and privacy policies. Where they act on our behalf, they are expected to process information only as necessary to provide their services and to apply appropriate safeguards.

6.2 Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a lawful government or court request, protect the rights and safety of users or others, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, or protect the security and integrity of OralDrills.

6.3 Business Transfer

If OralDrills undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.

6.4 International Processing

Hostinger, Cloudflare, Google, or their infrastructure providers may process information in countries or regions other than the country in which you live. Where applicable, we and our service providers will use safeguards required by applicable data-protection law for such processing or transfer.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process.

All personal data transmitted between the App and our servers is protected using HTTPS/TLS. Additional measures include password hashing through WordPress, access restrictions, and reasonable controls intended to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use a strong, unique password and keep your login information confidential.

8. Data Retention

We retain account information, learning activity, and related service information while your account remains active and for only as long afterward as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal information associated with your OralDrills account, including your full name, email address, mobile phone number, user ID, course-progress information, and active session or authentication tokens. Session tokens associated with the deleted account will be invalidated.

This does not apply to limited information that we must retain for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or legal compliance. Any information retained for these reasons will be restricted and kept only for the period required for that purpose.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in secured backups until they are overwritten or deleted through our normal backup cycle.

Ordinary server and request logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance, subject to the retention schedules of Hostinger and Cloudflare.

Voice recordings stored locally on your device remain there until they are deleted or replaced through the App’s controls or removed through the App’s local-data deletion process. OralDrills cannot retrieve or remotely delete these recordings because they are not uploaded to us.

Google retains information relating to Google Play transactions according to Google’s own legal obligations, terms, and retention practices.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your OralDrills account and the data associated with it through either of the following methods:

9.1 In the App

Open the OralDrills App, go to the account or profile settings, select “Delete Account”, and follow the displayed instructions.

9.2 Through the Website

Visit the OralDrills Account Deletion page at https://www.oraldrills.com/account-deletion/ and follow the instructions to submit an account-deletion request.

This website method may be used even if you have uninstalled the App or cannot access it. You will not be required to reinstall the App merely to submit a deletion request.

We may need to verify that the deletion request was made by the account owner. Verification is used only to protect the account from unauthorized deletion and will not be used to create unnecessary obstacles.

We will begin processing a verified deletion request promptly and complete it without undue delay, subject to any limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or legal compliance. Where reasonably possible, we will confirm completion using the email address associated with the request.

9.3 Important: Account Deletion Does Not Cancel Your Google Play Subscription

Deleting your OralDrills account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.

Your Google Play subscription and recurring billing may continue even after your OralDrills account has been deleted. To prevent future renewal charges, you must cancel the OralDrills subscription separately through Google Play.

Deleting your OralDrills account may immediately remove your access to the App, course content, learning progress, and subscription benefits, even if the Google Play subscription remains active. We therefore recommend cancelling your Google Play subscription before requesting account deletion.

You can manage or cancel the subscription from the Subscriptions section of your Google Play account.

9.4 Local Voice Recordings After Website Deletion

Website-based account deletion cannot erase local voice recordings stored only on your phone because OralDrills cannot access them. Delete those recordings using the App on that device.

If you initiate account deletion inside the App on that device, the App also deletes the locally stored OralDrills voice recordings on that device.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you;

  • Request correction of inaccurate account information;

  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information;

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable; and

  • Submit a privacy complaint or grievance.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may request reasonable verification before acting on a request.

11. Communications

11.1 Essential Service Communications

We may send essential messages concerning:

  • Your account;

  • Account security;

  • Subscription access;

  • Policy changes;

  • Service interruptions; or

  • Support requests.

These operational communications are necessary for providing and managing the service and are not promotional messages.

11.2 No Promotional Calls, SMS or WhatsApp Marketing Without Consent

We will not use your mobile phone number for promotional calls, promotional SMS messages, or WhatsApp marketing without obtaining your prior consent where required by applicable law.

If we introduce optional marketing communications in the future, participation will be voluntary, and you will be able to withdraw your consent or opt out at any time.

12. Age Requirement and Children’s Privacy

OralDrills provides spoken-English practice and is currently intended for learners aged 18 and above. Account registration and subscriptions are restricted to this age group. The App is not directed to children or minors.

If you are under 18 years of age, you should not create an OralDrills account, use the App, purchase a subscription, or provide personal information to us.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that an individual under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated personal information.

If you believe that a person under 18 has provided personal information to OralDrills, please contact us at vivishnabanu@gmail.com.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, service providers, features, or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy on the OralDrills website and update the “Last updated” date.

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
